NIACL AO ( Administrative Officer)

Vacancy – 300 posts

Eligibility criteria:

  • Age: 21 – 30 yrs
  • Education: A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a graduate/post graduate in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination for General candidates and at least 55% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

The relaxation in upper age limit will be provided to certain limits for reserved categories.

ST/SC: 5 Years
OBC: 3 Years
PwD: 10 Years

Selection procedure:

  1. Phase I:  Preliminary exam
  2. Phase II: Main exam – Objective Test and Descriptive Test
  3. Phase III: Personal interview

Note:

  1. There will be a penalty of ¼ marks for each wrong answer in prelims examination. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
  1. Candidates have to qualify in each test by securing passing marksto be decided by the Company.
  1. Prelim examination is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in Prelims examination will not be counted in the preparation of the final merit list.

  • Descriptive Test

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10 marks & Essay-20 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.

Note:

  1. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for shortlisting for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview.
  1. Descriptive answer script would be evaluated only in respect of those candidates who qualify the objective test. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided for Descriptive paper evaluation.
  1. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided by the Company according to number of vacancies) in the objective test (main examination) and qualify in the descriptive test for short listing for the Interview.
  1. A candidate shall be required to qualify in the descriptive test, but the marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards short listing for interview or final selection.
  • Phase III: Personal Interview
  1. Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company. Interview will be conducted at select centres.
  1. The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.

 

Final Selection

  1. Final merit list will be prepared by getting a combined score of mains examination (objective test only) and interview.
  1. The final merit list shall be prepared in descending order of the consolidated marks secured by the candidates. Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies in the merit list shall be considered for appointment.

  4. All papers will be in both languages (Hindi & English) except the test of language i.e. English.
