State Bank of India - Specialist Officer 2019

State Bank of India conducts the exam of the SBI SO (Specialist Officer) to fill up the technical posts in SBI. It is one of the most awaited exam for the candidates of a technical background who want to make a career in the government sector.

SBI conducts the exam of SBI SO for the following posts in this recruitment:

  1. Analytics Translators
  2. Sector Credit Specialists
  3. Portfolio Management Specialists
  4. Sector Risk Specialists

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: To apply for Specialist Cadre Officer MMGS – II,

  • A candidate’s minimum age must be 25 years and,
  • A candidate’s maximum age must not be more than 35 years.
  • Also, there are some age relaxations to some of the categories which are as follows:

SMGS-IV: Minimum 8 years
Experience In Banks/ PSUs/ Corporates in High-Value Credit / Analysis in any of the following Sectors:

b. Banks & NBFC
c. Metal & Metal Products
d. Chemicals / Pharmaceuticals / Fertilizers / Plastics
e. Other Manufacturing
f. Other Non-Manufacturing

Portfolio Management Specialists Chartered Accountant/MBA (Finance) MMGS-III: Minimum 5 years &
SMGS-IV: Minimum 8 years
Experience in Portfolio Management in Banks/ Financial Institutions for optimum return.
Sector Risk Specialists Chartered Accountant/MBA (Finance)/ICWA/CFA
Other Qualifications (Preferred): Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Certification by Global Association of Risk Professional (GARP)
MMGS-III: Minimum 5 years &
SMGS-IV: Minimum 8 years
Experience: in Financial Institutions/ Rating Agencies/Brokerage Firms in Risk Analysis / Research in any of the following Sectors:
