1. IBPS BANK PO 

IBPS is held for the recruitment of eligible candidates for PO/MT in public sector banks and other participating institutes. The examination is completed in 2 stages – preliminary and mains examinations. The recruitment procedure for IBPS PO 2017 will be held in the month of October/November 2017. The successful candidates will be allotted a bank provisional based on their preference given during online registration. However, the allotment will be done according to the no. of vacancies.

Total Vacancies: 3562 posts (2017)

Eligibility criteria:

  • Age: 20 to 30 years
  • Education: The candidates must have completed graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

The relaxation in upper age limit will be provided to certain limits for reserved categories.

  3. Personal interview

  1. Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.
  2. Prelim examination is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in Prelims examination will not be counted in the preparation of the final merit list.

  1. There will be a penalty of ¼ marks for each wrong answer in mains examination.
  1. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each section of Online Main examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.
  1. Marks obtained only in the mains examination will be considered for shortlisting for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online Main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.

 

  • Personal Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination for CWE PO/MT will subsequently be called for an Interview.

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (Main exam) and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination of CWE PO/MT-VI and Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed.

Final Selection:

  1. Final merit list will be prepared by getting a combined score of mains examination and interview.
  1. A candidate should qualify both in the CWE (Main) and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.

  • Education: Candidates who are applying for the post of Clerk need to hold the Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from any recognized board or university.

* In case of dual specializations, one of the fields of specialization should be in the field prescribed. Final Selection:
